School Information

My name is Paul, I'm 27, the name of my driving school is Lessons With Paul. I am a fully qualified government approved driving instructor, I have been fully trained by The AA to their highest standards. I am an independent driving instructor, I use a modern tuition vehicle that is fitted with dual controls.

I believe that everyone is different, everyone learns in a different way and at a different pace to others. I use a wide range of teaching methods that I can adapt to suit the learner so that they are then engaged at all times during the lesson and they progress at their own pace. The different techniques I use involve: fully talking through a subject, showing pictures and diagrams, letting the pupil look up the subject in official DVSA books and even give demonstrations. This teaching style is called Client Centred Learning, this style is a vital key component of the learning process.

I have been a full time professional driver for the last 7 years. I believe that you never stop learning in life, that is why I am committed to Continual Professional Development training which involves me having one full day of training per year. I have also agreed to follow the Voluntary Code of Practice set out by the DVSA.

I aim to provide the best possible value lessons I offer a beginners course, a competitive hourly rate, block booking savings (up to £90), a special offer for referring a friend, welcome packs for drivers that include various paperwork to help towards theory & practical tests, progress tracker, a copy of the highway code and also optional homework sheets that relate to the lesson covered and I also offer free online theory & hazard perception training.
