What To Expect On A Driving Test - Theory And Practical?
Can someone tell me what I can expect in the theory and practical side of a driving test.
How long roughly do both last, how many questions do I have to get right and what sort of things do they look for in both areas.
I'm looking at taking my test soon so any up-to-date answers only would be much appreciated.

How Can I Book A Driving Test?
I'm trying to book a driving test so I can drive this summer. However, I work full time and I'm finding it impossible to find anywhere doing a test in london on a saturday. I can get tests during the week but that means taking hard-earned holiday which kinda sucks, not to mention piling on the pressure to make sure I pass first time. Any suggestions for how to get one, or what it's so hard? I know summer is tough and so are weekends, but there seems to be a seven-week waiting list for weekdays and no weekend tests at all for months. Is this normal?

Can I Take Driving Test In My Own Car That Has Tinted Windows?
I'm thinking about taking my driving test in my own car. However, my car has tinted windows, would I still be able to take my test in that car? Also, would the examiner need to check my insurance papers to see if I am insured?

What Happens If You Get Questions Wrong On Driving Test?
When you take your practical driving test in the UK, the examiner usually asks 2 questions, a "show me" and a "tell me." What are the penalties for getting 1 or both of these wrong, is it an instant fail? :/ thanks in advance!

Why Is The British Practical Driving Test So Stupid?
No anti-Brit sentiments please... I just want to kick off a discussion about the driving test, how it could be improved, and whether sitting it seven times is normal.
The British (car) practical driving test involves two safety questions, at least two manoeuvres, at least one roundabout and a heck of a lot of driving around.
It currently costs £48.50 sterling. The candidate can fail for earning one serious or dangerous fault, but he/she can have a maximum of 16 minor faults.
Sorry for any confusion.. I failed 6 times; my next one will be my 7th...
I am paying for lessons... have been since 2003. First instructor said that I wasn't ready for a test. Second instructor was a d*** (also a trainee); failed three tests with him; 16 minor faults, 15 minor faults and 10 minor faults. Third and current instructor is good... failed three tests with him though... 8 minor faults, 7 minor faults and 3 minor faults.
In the fifth test, I went past the two car length maximum for parallel parking (result = failture). In the sixth test, I hit the kerb several times in the left corner reverse. In the last two tests, I was so close to passing
