Thanks to Grant and Smile School of Motoring, I just passed my test first time yesterday!

I started out having absolutely no knowledge of cars, how they work or the highway code. In fact, I was pretty worried about sitting behind the wheel at all when I first started. After Grant's clear instruction, though, I not only feel confident with driving but I also really enjoy it.

We followed a set plan of lessons but, when I encountered an area I wasn't comfortable with, we spent time brushing up

I just passed my test thanks to Grant at Smile and his superb teaching skills :) I previously had a negative experience when trying to learn to drive and as a consequence felt frightened, nervous and lacked confidence. Grant helped me to build up confidence and believe in myself. He has such a gentle and pleasant manner, is very patient and understanding towards pupils and I felt that he really taught me essential driving skills for life- not just for passing the test! I would like to say thank you to Grant for teaching me driving. I was bit stressed when i took test in Edinburgh, but i have learned many techniques with Grant like maneuvers, emergency stop etc.,

I have taken away those skills and practiced on our own car and passed with only two minors.

I had lessons with both Grant and Kat, I really enjoyed having lessons with them both. If you are a really nervous driver, Grant will make you feel at ease even on the first ever lesson, no need to worry at all. He will talk you through everything that you need to know. What I found the most helpful about Kat was that she gave me another perspective on how to tackle manoeuvres when I felt a bit stuck. Thanks to both of them, I've become very confident in driving!! :-)

I found my driving lessons with kat to be very successful. Kat was patient, hardworking
and dedicated throughout. She kept me right and knew the answers to any questions I threw at her. I would recommend Smile Driving to every learner.

I failed my first test however passed on the second test shortly after from just a little extra work.
I would give Smile a ten out of ten and would recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

Made it the 2nd time with 4 minors, should have done it on the 1st though, just my nerves. Had my lessons from Kat, very good instructor with every attention to detail. She was never happy until I had perfected each one of them. I did get frustrated at times but now realise how important her feedback was. The test felt easy and she was so right in not letting me sit for it until I was ready. Just be patient and listen to her, and you will surely make it the first time. Very good value for money.

I just passed my test first time last week, in the nick of time for winter. I have had lessons with both Grant and Kat and I highly recommend them both. The teaching style is very relaxed and you will be taught not only to drive well but also considerately and fuel efficiently. You will feel confident in your skills and not intimidated by busy or fast roads. they will not waste your time and money by putting you in for test too early either, only when you're ready, and then you'll pass. Great.

I have recently passed my test in the first time, I was driving back to my country and had bad habits in driving, Grant taught me how to drive safely and even costly by fuel efficient driving. I think you finally will get back your money paid to him by paying less for fuel and safe more money eventually.
He is a great instructor, I got very good feedbacks from my friends who learned driving with Grant before choosing him, after that I can say their feedbacks are 100% valid.

Grant Smile School is an excellent driving school. I passed first time with Grant, who is a really top driving instructor; very structured and systematic in his teaching, very knowledgeable and knows how to pass this on to the student in a very patient way that makes learning with him a pleasure. On meeting Kat, she is a lovely, patient and very encouraging instructor who always makes you feel capable, safe and at ease. I would recommend Grant to anyone that wants to learn to drive, His manner, professionalism and personality is second to none. Before starting with Grant i had a driving instructor that put me off wanting to learn to drive but after Starting again Grant brought all my confidence back and by his knowledge and style of teaching i passed after 13 lessons with only one minor in my test. Grant is very patient in his teaching which makes you relax more when your behind the wheel of his car and his methods of teaching all three manoeuvres is genius. since passing my test i have introduced three of my friends to learn to drive with and Grant and all three who are two or three lessons in have came back to me with nothing but praise and compliments about Grants style of teaching and personality. I have came away happy having passed my test with only one minor but sad at not having Grants company anymore as he is a top lad.

I highly recommend Smile school to all my friends. Before I start my lessons with Grant, I had an international driving licence and used to drive for 10 years in my Country. My friends advised me to take an instructor before taking the UK driving test. I found Grant on the internet and he kindly accepted my request to tell me how to drive CORRECTLY based on the UK laws just 3 days before the test. He instructed me for 6 hours before taking the test. He highlighted many important points that if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have passed my test. He used different methods to help me understand and remember all the rules. He is not just a good driving teacher, but also very friendly and supportive as well. I am really happy to have had my driving lessons with him and I recommend him to anyone who wants a good and fair driving teacher. Enjoy

I actually had an international driver's license valid for one year at UK. I sat and passed her Theory exam with no problems. As recommended by a friend of mine, I decided to take up few lessons with Smile Driving School before practical exam to get a UK driver's license.
Instructor: The instructor, Grant, turned up prompt and seemed very professional. Sometimes, I was a bit nervous, but he gave some good advice on that. I found him patient after my mistakes and I had a good degree of confidence on the road. He was very nice and offered constructive criticism especially on bad driving habit I have had for years. The driving instructor was very friendly and supporting giving me the right encouragement as and when required and prior to each lesson/maneuver he would show me, through graphic charts and diagrams what we would attempt that day and this made it very easy to remember or recapitulate.
Cost: first 5 lessons for £95, 1 Hour £22.50, 10 Hours £215, and 20 Hours £410. There is a student discounts £1 per hour off of lesson fee. I found the lessons very reasonably priced in comparison with the other schools.

I had failed a few times before with a different instructor but when I started with Grant he was able to point out a few things I needed to change and corrected a few bad habits I had developed.
