Hi There, my name is Phillip Sutcliff. Thank you for your interest. My main aim is for you to learn to drive in a safe and enjoyable way. When you choose me as your instructor, you will learn to control and manoeuvre the car safely and you will be able to deal with any traffic situations with confidence and control. I understand everyone is different and as such, your instruction programme will be specifically tailored to you and your requirements. I always try to make the lessons fun and enjoyable, although there will be times when WE have to put our business heads on. Learning to drive is a very exciting right of passage into adulthood and is now considered a life skill and one that i hope you will enjoy with me as your instructor. I was previously at test standard, but had taken an extended break from driving due to time restrictions. Three years out of practice, I decided that I needed to pass my test before I lost my skill completely. I was unable to gauge my own skill, so Phil made an assessment of me and organised lessons around what he considered to be my weaknesses. My experience learning to drive under Phillip Sutcliff was a very good one, as he is skilled and easy to learn from, and every lesson that he has taught has been done with a very positive and cheery attitude. He doesn't just teach you to pass your test, he more importantly teaches you to drive efficiently and safely which is more important than just passing your test. During my driving experience with phill i realised straight away that he was a good instructor with good instructions and teaching examples and straight away made me feel happy and comfatable driving. Phillip is a top bloke. He is easy to get on with and is laid back. You can have a laugh with him, but he also likes to be sensible when it is required. In my opinion I thought that Phil was a great teacher and I have learnt allot through him. Although I didn't pass first time, I always felt Phil reassured during my time with him. I cant thank phil enough for teaching me to drive :) He was recomended to me and i would deffinatley say he is a fantastic tutor and i would also recomend him to anyone. Great instructor, couldnt ask for anything more. He was very patient with me throughout, I lack confidence pretty badly and if I was him I'd have got annoyed but he stayed very calm. He always made me feel positive even when I was having an 'off' day. Got through my test easily which was mainly down to him giving me the confidence. I have been learning to drive for nearly over a year now and suffer from mild dyspraxia, I just want to say thank you to phill for keeping so calm and patient with me as well as helping me psychologically. He didn't just teach me the basics of driving but he also helped me develop my confidence and self esteem. well, where do i start, i can deffinetly say that phil knows what hes doing and has some amazing techniques for students that have difficulty with certain things,phill identifys things early and sorts them there and then,but being my dad this was alot easier to do because i have to put up with him at home,he'll constantly talk things through with me so iam constantly improving,the time spent thought with my dad has been good laugh and the mcdonalds lunch breaks were what clinched passing my test THOMAS CONNOR

Phil taught me from day one, and with each lesson I felt more confident with my abilities. We progressed in each lesson allowing me to constantly improve on my technique, without moving too fast and making me feel in over my head. He was very supportive and critical at the same time, praising me when I did something well and quick to call me up on something that I did wrong or not to the best of my abilities. Phil's a great driving instructor, he kept lessons fun, interesting and tailored to my driving needs. He's professional but relaxed with it so there is no pressure and you learn at your own pace. Phillip is a very good instructor, he is very patient and understanding. He is more like a friend than an instructor as you can talk to him about anything. Phillip really helped me in learning to drive and preparing for my test. i couldn't of wished for a better instructor, and don't think i could of passed my test without him. lessons were always based around what i needed to practice and i was always told what was happening and what i needed to do, which helped alot.i would defeinately recommend him to anyone who is going to start driving lessons. I do not only see Phil as a great instructor but a great person aswell. Due to unforeseen circumstances i had to finish with my previous driving school. and phil, willingly took me on bored knowing tha my test was already booked for a close time. before my test i was not confident that i would pass in a different car however phil gave me the confidence to do so. Phil is a great driving instructor, I told him i wanted to get my test passed ASAP;turning 17 on 20th september, and passed on the 21st october. He is an excellent instructor, and was always at least 5 minutes early for the start of a lessons. He was one of the cheapest instructors i came across, and wouldnt mind working late to fit me in for a lesson! i couldnt reccomend him any more! CHLOE MILTON
I cannot speak highly enough of Phillip Sutcliff. I have tried to learn to drive in the past but was severly lacking in confidence. I eventually gave up. Two years on I contacted Phillip who proceded to build my driving skills and confidence on the road. Phillip was incredably supportive throughout and went above and beyond his duties as an instructor to ensure I not only had the capability to pass but was also mmentally prepared. Phil is a wonderful tutor, there is always a relaxed atmosphere, with emphasis on helping the student to become comfortable with driving safely. Lesson times are also relatively flexible, which is extremely helpful, especially for students. He helped me to pass first time in less than 4 months (1 lesson per week) which was fantastic!! I have just passed my test after learning for around 5 and half months with Phillip and have been happy with my results. He was an excellent teacher who not only taught me to pass my test but how to drive safe after i'd passed. Phillip has always been reiable and has never been late for a lesson. After contacting Phil he came roud to my house to meet both me and my parents which i thought was really nice and professional. as i was eager to start my lessons with him, he managed to fit all my lessons around my free time (as a college studen, lessons had to be flexable) i had roughly 3/4 weeks of driving with Phil, before i became the happiest girl ever! i passed my driving test first time, in blackpool (hard to do) so shows how great he is!! i recomend him to anyone!! Phillip is a brilliant driving instructor. Phillip was always there when i needed him. he picked me up and dropped me off where ever i wanted. i had my first lesson on my birthday being the 12th of feb and then passed my driving test on the 17th of march. thats just over 4 weeks. phill was very supportive and i would and have been recommending him to every1!!
