No gimmicks, silly prices or bold statements of guaranteed passes, just sound and professional instruction that will give you the skills and confidence that you need to become a safe driver for life.

I firmly believe in teaching in a relaxed and friendly manner, and I will tailor your training to fit your requirements. Everyone learns at different paces, I will give you all the help and support you need to ensure that you reach your goals at a pace you can manage.

You will see many offers splashed across many driving school cars, such as 'first 5 lessons for £39', 'free tests', 'guaranteed pass', and my personal favourite - 'drive on your first lesson' - DUH!! No successful driving instructor can survive by charging such low rates, and the result is all to often substandard tuition, or spending time sat at the side of the road filling in forms, learning how to tune a radio in, or covering theory topics that should be included within the practical driving. None of these activities burns very much petrol!

I am always prepared to put my money where my mouth is, and offer a short, no obligation introductory session, free of charge to any new beginner, so that you can get that initial feel of the car, a demonstration of some good driving, and to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. All you need to do is ask!! Please note that this is offered subject to availability in my diary.

The training vehicle is a Red Ford Fiesta Edge 1.4 TDCI. The car will always be clean and smoke free.

Martin is an excellent instructor. He is patient and will not rush you if you do not feel confident enough. He explains things in a clear, easily understood way which is very helpful when learning. I would happily recommend Martin to anyone thinking about lessons no matter what stage of driving they are at, as he is friendly and helpful and knows the best teaching methods.
I passed my tests first time because of Martin, he is definetly an A* Instructor.

I came to Martin as my previous instructor kept on letting me down all the time. I was surprised at how much different his lessons were to what id been used to. He is very calm and patient and explained things so clearly that they just made total sense. The way he taught clutch control (which was my weakness) was great and this made everything else so much easier. I would highly recommend Martin to anyone, and my younger brother who turns 17 next month is itching to get started!

Hi Martin, just to say thanks again for getting me thru my test today!!

I took my last test with the AA and failed, i felt like i was rushed into it and wasnt really ready. Martin was different and made sure that i fully understood any mistakes i made so that they didnt reoccur. This time round i felt life i was showing the examiner what i could do, rather than being tested! Would def recommend martin's school of motoring to anyone!
